Spa Treatments
From nourishing a client’s skin with natural body masks to improving their blood circulation and lymphatic drainage with hydrotherapy, Chiva-Som’s Spa Treatments training course will equip participants with the skills to perform a wide range of frequently requested spa treatments. The course covers five types of hydrotherapy, body exfoliation treatments and sauna therapy to help professional therapists expand their expertise in the spa industry.
Training: 30 hours / 60 hours
Course Objectives
After successfully completing the Spa Treatments course, participants will understand the theory behind spa treatments, hydrotherapy and heat treatments and their indications, contra-indications and benefits. Moreover, participants will be able to perform these spa treatments safely and effectively.
Course Topics
The Spa Treatments course offers an introduction to the history and background of various types of spas and spa services. This includes theoretical and practical knowledge of body exfoliations, mud and clay treatments, and hydrotherapy (bathing, underwater massages, whirlpools, Thalassotherapy, Flotation Therapy, and showers). The course also covers practical and theoretical knowledge of steam and sauna treatments and helps participants detect skin infections and dietary problems. In a real spa environment, participants will practice body exfoliation and wrap sequences, as well as client and room preparation, consultations, aftercare and home care.
Examinations
The Academy will conduct both theoretical and practical examinations towards the end of the course.
Certification
After successfully completing the course and examinations, participants will receive a CSIA Professional Certificate in Spa Treatments.
