Skin Treatments

From deep skin cleansing and masks to beautifying treatments such as eyelash tinting and basic day make-up techniques, the Skin Treatments course is designed to equip participants with a well-rounded set of skills and knowledge to carry out the most popular skin treatments. Combining hands-on practical training with background theory such as skin analysis and skin conditions, participants will learn to improve their clients’ skin through a holistic approach.

Course Objectives

By the end of the course, participants will understand the theory behind skin treatments, and the indications, contraindications and benefits of the different techniques. Participants will also be able to perform them safely and effectively.


Course Topics

The Skin Treatments course guides participants through the structure, nervous system and circulation systems of the face. It will introduce skin types and conditions, skin diseases and disorders, and examination techniques of the face and neck. In a real spa environment, participants will learn about skin care products, facial massage techniques, facial masks and the theories of steam and ozone treatments. Moreover, participants will learn lash and brow treatments, artificial eyelash extensions and basic make-up and corrective make-up techniques. Participants will also learn about treatment preparations, health and hygiene standards, consultations and facial treatment sequences to conduct treatments professionally.


Examinations

The Academy will conduct both theoretical and practical examinations towards the end of the course. The Examining Board will issue CIBTAC examination dates annually.


Certification

After successfully completing the course and examinations, participants will receive a CSIA Diploma in Skin Treatments.
