Basic Ayurvedic Treatments
Originating from India, Ayurvedic treatments draw from herbal medicinal oils and therapeutic techniques to strengthen the body’s internal life force. Ayurvedic massages relax muscles and stimulate the nervous system, relieving patients from tiredness and tension. The Basic Ayurvedic Treatments course offers a theoretical and practical introduction to the fundamental concepts of Ayurveda and equips participants with the skills to put these ancient philosophies into practice.

Course Objectives
By the end of the Basic Ayurvedic Treatments course, participants will have a thorough understanding of the fundamental theories of Ayurveda, including the five elements and Marma points of the body. They will understand the indications, contra-indications and benefits of Ayurvedic treatments, and will be able to perform them safely and effectively.
Course Topics
The Basic Ayurvedic Treatments course will introduce the key principles of Ayurveda, including the law of macrocosm and microcosm and the five great elements. Moreover, it will cover the three bio-humours (Doshas) and their functions, sites, and qualities, as well as their key governing laws and their basic constitutions. Course instructors will explain the healing (balancing) measures of Ayurveda and the physiological aspects, such as the constituents of the body and the concepts of AGNI and AMA. The course will also cover Ayurvedic disease pathology and diagnosis methods and will equip participants with practical skills to perform Shirobhyanga and Abhyanga. The course will conclude with practice in a real spa environment.
Examinations
The Academy will conduct both theoretical and practical examinations towards the end of the course.
Certification
After successfully completing the course and examinations, participants will receive a CSIA Professional Certificate in Basic Ayurvedic Treatments.
