About CIBTAC

The Confederation of International Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology (CIBTAC) trains beauty, complementary, and spa therapy graduates of the highest calibre. It offers a wide range of world-class qualifications, including beauty therapy, spa, complementary and teaching, and strives to maintain and develop the highest standards of excellence internationally. Established in 1977, CIBTAC was created from an identified need to provide relevant, high-quality training within the beauty, complementary, and spa industry.

CIBTAC offers a full suite of qualifications at all levels; from the novice therapist at the beginning of their career, to the experienced spa professional wishing to continue enhancing their practice through continued development. The CIBTAC qualification is a mark of quality, signifying high standards and work-ready graduates that make a strong impact from the first day in their spa professional jobs.

CIBTAC Centres in Thailand

CIBTAC has over 160 CIBTAC centres globally, and the Chiva-Som International Academy is one of the only two qualified examination centres in Thailand.

CIBTAC Registration and Examination at Chiva-Som

CIBTAC is an additional examination with extra expenses. Registration should be done approximately 3 months before the examination date.

To apply after the deadline has passed, candidates will have to pay CIBTAC’s late fee (THB 1,900). The examination will be organised with a minimum of 6 candidates per subject.

CIBTAC will announce the date of the examination 30-60 days in advance, and Chiva-Som International Academy will announce the registration and examination dates accordingly.

Chiva-Som International Academy acts as the test centre. If the student is unable to take the exam here, the student should contact CIBTAC directly.

The only valid reason for postponing the exam without re-payment is sickness. In this case, the candidate will need to show a medical certificate.
