Basic Ayurveda

BENEFITS
An Indian traditional treatment for balancing 3 bio-humors and 5 elements. Herbal medicinal oils and therapeutic techniques are used to increase the life force. Ayurvedic massages, Shirobhyanga plus Abhyanga, will relax the muscles and improve the nervous system hence relieving fatigue and tension and contribute to overall health

AIM OF COURSE
• To enable candidates to perform safe and effective Shirobhyanga and Abhyanga
• To enable candidates to achieve a CSA Professional Certificate in Ayurveda

ENTRY LEVEL
A person displaying a high level of interpersonal skills, excellent communication and listening skills, empathy, patience, tact, diplomacy and time keeping with a well groomed appearance and a mature disposition

DURATION
Monday – Friday (9:00am – 4:00pm)
3 weeks (90 hours)

EXAMINATIONS
The academy will conduct examinations towards the end of the course
Theory : 45 minutes (multiple-choice and essay examination)
Practice : 90 minutes

CASE STUDIES
5 cases for Shirobhyanga and 5 cases for Abhyanga (5 treatments per client)
