April 2019 - The Chiva-Som International Academy in Bangkok, the training centre of Chiva-Som International Health Resorts, is now offering Spa Development and Management courses in Thai and English.

The Chiva-Som International Academy provides a quality education through theory and practice, allowing students to become highly trained therapists endowed with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the highly competitive Spa Industry either as a manager, or owner operator. Below is a brief overview of the Spa Development and Spa Management courses which are now available in English, as well as Thai.

SPA DEVELOPMENT – This course provides a complete overview of a spa set-up from conception to opening, and is recommended for owners, developers and operators. No knowledge is assumed so it is suitable for those seeking to enter the industry for the first time, as well as those who have worked in an existing spa business and are now seeking to set up a new operation with improved knowledge and skills.

SPA MANAGEMENT - This course is designed for Spa Managers; those who will be running a spa on a day-to-day basis. Some familiarity with the industry is preferred, but not essential, for understanding and development in this course. Throughout the course, students will gain knowledge about Spa operations via the key functions of a Spa Manager.

The courses will be conducted by instructors with extensive experiences in the spa industry and are available two times per year .Below you will find the course schedules.

Spa Management course in Thai

28th October – 1st November, 2019

Spa Management course in English

14th – 18th October, 2019

Each course take 30 hours of attendance. Students will receive a CSIA Certificate of Student Attendance in either Spa Development or Spa Management. Professional Certificates will be presented students who attend two consecutive courses at the same calendar year.
